Job Title PRODUCTION ASSOCIATE
Reports to 1.       Production Manager

2.       Director of Operations

Job Purpose:  Responsible for set up and operating and tending printing presses.  Dry offset lithography.

Duties and responsibilities: 

  • Load products onto conveyors,
  • Completing a last-line quality check on printed items prior to placing them into boxes/trays
  • Operate machinery when required example plastic grinder, stretch wrap machine
  • Perform regular cleaning of machinery and facility
  • Dispose of production scrap daily with a plastic grinder

Other Functions:

Perform other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the manufacturing processes.

Skills – are required to perform multiple, technical tasks with a need to occasionally upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions.  Specific skill-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include:  developing effective working relationships.

Knowledge– is required to perform basic math.

Ability– is required to be flexible and required to independently work with others in a wide variety of circumstances; work with data utilizing defined but different processes; and operates equipment using standardized methods.  The ability is also required to work with significant diversity of individuals and/or groups.  Independent problem solving is required to analyze issues and create action plans.  Lift 35 lb., bend, stoop, and stand for long periods of time.

Job Title Quality Technician-Floater
Reports to 1.       Quality Director

2.       Director of Operations

Job Purpose:  Assure consistent quality of product by testing, while validating processes, product and recording all results and communicating with the printing department and shipping department personnel regarding the quality of product being tested or checked.

Duties and responsibilities: 

  • Provide hands on quality support and guidance to all staff
  • Ensure product meets customer specifications and expectations
  • Complete quality checks and supply quality support to all levels of the business
  • Identifying problems and making improvements
  • Operate a forklift
  • Maintains an adequate supply of operating materials for production machines & obtains additional materials according to procedure
  • Pull product to the wrapping machine
  • Pull finished skids to the bank area
  • Assist on the production floor as needed
  • Operate grinder
  • Check Product staged for shipping

  • Manufacturing experience in related industry in a quality role (blow mold, extrusion, injection, stretch) preferred printing quality experience
  •  Minimum of 3 years dealing with quality systems (ISO) experience
  • Minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience
  • Word, Excel (charting and formulas),
  • Dependable work habits
  • Ability to work with little supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly detail oriented
  • Problem solving techniques and corrective actions
  • Able to work in a team atmosphere

Job Title Qualified Printer

Job Purpose:  Responsible for set up and operating and tending printing presses.  Dry offset lithography.

Duties and responsibilities: 

  • Operate printing machine.
  • Run several presses with different size and color capacities.
  • Prepare machines for printing.
  • Set the printing plates with the images approved by our customers for printing.
  • Ink the presses and adjust he press to the product size.
  • Ensure the product and artwork meet specifications.
  • Adjust ink flow to the rollers accordingly.
  • Monitor the printing operation as it is boxed for approval.
  • Make adjustments to manage ink distribution, speed, and temperature in the drying chamber.
  • Actively look for and correct any problems.
  • Make quick corrections to avoid expensive losses of product.
  • Pull samples to check for printing imperfections.
  • Set up, monitor, and adjust the printing process on a control panel or computer monitor.
  • Oil and clean the presses and make minor repairs.
  • Perform preventive maintenance.
  • Blend ink colors.
  • Perform operator quality checks.
